11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in September

The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum is to be held in Beijing from September 12 to 14, said Zhang Xiaogang, spokesman of China's Ministry of National Defense, at a press briefing Friday.

"The 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum will be convened in Beijing from September 12 to 14. The theme of this year's forum is Promoting Peace for a Shared Future. So far, the Chinese side has sent invitations to official delegates from over 100 countries and international organizations as well as to security experts and scholars at home and abroad. The preparation for the forum is well underway. We welcome delegations from various countries to attend and both domestic and foreign journalists to cover this event," said Zhang.

Initiated in 2006, the Beijing Xiangshan Forum is a high-level platform dedicated to promoting exchanges and cooperation among defense authorities, armed forces, international organizations and scholars.
