Brazil holds light shows to celebrate 50-year diplomatic ties with China
Brazilian cities held dazzling light shows on Thursday night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China.
In the capital city, the Brasilia TV Tower illuminated in red, which symbolizes China's national color.
Meanwhile, the historic opera house Teatro Amazonas in Manaus dazzled in red, yellow and green, signifying national colors of both countries.
Similarly, famous aqueduct Arcos da Lapa in Rio de Janeiro shone brightly in red in celebration of the occasion.
China and Brazil officially established diplomatic relations on August 15, 1974.
