Elite remote-controlled helicopter pilots compete in Chengdu

The Rotor Global Masters 2024, a competition for elite pilots of remote-controlled (RC) helicopters, ended on Aug. 25 in Chengdu City, in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The competition, which began on Aug. 23, marked the 6th edition of the event and attracted many of the world's top pilots of remote-controlled helicopters.

"Everything is very professional. Everything is very prepared and I really like the organization of this event," said Dunkan Bossion, a competitor.

In addition to pilots from various countries, manufacturers of remote-controlled helicopters and components showcased their products to Chinese enthusiasts.

"The Chinese market for RC helicopters is roughly about 10 percent of the global market. And low-altitude economy is more popular worldwide and it affects the RC helicopter industry," said Kenny Kou, Co-founder and CMS of Goosky.
