Enjoying autumn beauty becomes popular choice to spend National Day holiday

Enjoying the picturesque autumn scenes and magnificent landscapes has become a popular choice for many in China during the seven-day National Day holiday starting on Tuesday.

The captivating scenery and diverse bird species at a wetland in Qinhuangdao City, northern China, have allured many bird enthusiasts to capture the beauty of autumn and its avian residents.

At the wetland, migratory birds can be spotted foraging, strolling, and playing amidst the grass or soaring in the sky, creating a beautiful scene that harmonizes with the natural beauty of the area.

"Since it's the National Day holiday, I have brought my family here to see the birds. I feel very happy," said a bird enthusiast.

In northwest China's Shaanxi Province, embarking on a self-driving tour along the mountain roads to appreciate the grandeur of the Qinling Mountains is also a popular choice for many during the holiday.

The Qinling Mountains, mainly in Shaanxi Province, cover more than 50,000 square kilometers and are dubbed as China's "gene bank" of wild biology as it houses a huge variety of plants and wild animals.
