Streets in Beijing adorned in vibrant decorations for upcoming FOCAC summit

Beijing is adorned in a stunning array of colorful decorations as the city prepares to host the upcoming 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC),which is scheduled in the capital from Sept 4 to 6.

The city's landscape design has incorporated elements of both FOCAC and traditional Chinese culture, emphasizing the summit's theme: "Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future."

Four flower beds have been arranged at various intersections in the city, featuring the themes of cooperation for win-win results, shared destiny, common development, and bright future.

The flower bed located at Xidan shopping area showcases the lively atmosphere of the capital's shopping district, incorporating elements such as African agricultural products and handicrafts to symbolize the dynamic and mutually beneficial cooperation in China-Africa trade.

Beijing has also installed seven three-dimensional flower beds and 12 landscape sketches at key locations, and adorned 36 streets with 16,500 promotional flags.

Through these diverse landscape arrangements, Beijing aims to create a charming and welcoming atmosphere featuring prosperity and openness.
